Ledyard Charter School is young and still growing and for that reason, we do not offer a high school athletic program. However, students may participate in high school sports.
A student who wants to play an organized high school sport returns to his or her district to play that sport. The student must follow all the standards and try-out procedures that the school district requires.
The following form must be filled out by the school where a student will play a sport and sent to the Executive Director of Ledyard Charter School prior to that student being able to participate:
LCS Inter-School Athletic Permission Form
To obtain the forms necessary to participate in another school’s athletic program, please follow the link to your sending school’s athletics website:

Mascoma High School
LCS offers various Elective classes throughout the year. Students may choose to enroll in one of the Electives for a six-week session, a semester session, or a year-long session. Elective classes vary and include but are not limited to Studio Art, Culinary Arts, Technology, Creative Writing, Fitness, Music, and Online Test Prep.
Students attending the Ledyard Charter School may take elective classes from their sending school district.
For example, if a student attended Lebanon High School and is now a student at LCS, he or she may go back to the high school to take an elective such as chorus or computers. Arrangements must be made with the sending school prior to a student attending any elective course at another school site.
LCS supports a student’s engagement in outside activities, recognizing that social development and exploring various interests are important aspects of becoming a young adult.
Ledyard Charter School will offer as many outside activities as we can provide, but we appreciate that a student may be interested in something the school may not offer at this time.
Students attending the Ledyard Charter School may participate in extracurricular activities that are offered by their sending school districts.
For example, if a student attended Mascoma High School and is now a student at LCS, he or she may go back to the high school to participate in an after-school activity such as Drama Club, Driver’s Ed or Snowmobiling. Arrangements must be made with the sending school prior to a student attending any extracurricular activity at another school site.
