Blizzard Bag days will be announced when the weather forecast predicts a major storm. High school Blizzard Bag assignments are directly linked to the current classroom curriculum. This means assignments will only be posted online the day prior to an anticipated absence. Blizzard Bag assignments will be linked to course competencies.

All Blizzard Bag assignments are due within two school days of the day of the absence.

Late assignments will not be accepted after two school days. Students will receive a zero for assignments not submitted within two days of Blizzard Bag day. Please contact the Executive Director to appeal extenuating circumstances.


Blizzard Bag assignments will count as a formative assignment. Blizzard Bag day assignments will not be recorded as a test or a quiz.


Students who do not have access to the Internet must request hard copies of the Blizzard Bag assignments from their teachers.

Teachers will respond to all email within an hour during the school day. (Pending no emergencies) Please be reminded that the school day does end at 3:00 pm and that late email may not be replied to until the next day.


Student will receive real time corrections and instruction through Google Classroom/Drive.

Research one of the following topics and write a paragraph about it.  I'm more interested in seeing how you translate the information into your own words than anything else.

- Blackholes

- Time dilation

- Where gravity comes from

- External forces that affect a rocket leaving Earth

- Factors affecting external ballistics 


You have two options:

1) Find a job and complete the application for it (you don't need to submit it).

2) Search for job interview questions and have a practice interview with a friend or family member (with them asking the questions).




Play a game with or against someone.  Take notes about how you communicated with the others players.  How did the conversations sound?  What did everyone say?  What was the tone?

Be prepared to share your experiences in the following class.

 Think about where you landed on the political compass test.  Write a paragraph reflecting on the experience.

Did your results surprise you?  Did you learn anything about yourself?  Which questions were easier than others?  Why?  




Continue to work on your research projects.  Have three research organizers completed for three of your five sources.

If you don't have copies, they ask: Title/URL of your source, which of your research questions they address and how, three relevant facts, and two additional questions you've thought of through reading the source.
